Great question. Short answer is images that are on the left vs. the right. 

Here is the longer answer about how and why I produce coloring books the way I do. Most coloring books have been, historically, produced with images on both pages. Often the paper quality was poor. this caused bleed through and shadowing on other pages. A newer version of coloring books is to have an image on one page and an quote/affirmation/saying on the other page. This version is published in a right hand manner. The image on the right, the saying on the left. 

I produce my coloring books this way as well as reversing the image and saying - so that the image is on the left. This is a left handed coloring book. Lefties in your life will LOVE IT, I promise. I also produce the traditional style with images on every page (mostly for younger artists), as well as landscaped layout which is great for both left and right handed artists.
